Ministry to host information sessions on Medicinal Cannabis Scheme

Last week proposals for the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme were published in a Ministry of Health  consultation document. To help ensure individuals and organisations with an interest in the Scheme are well informed when preparing their submissions, the Ministry of Health will shortly hold several information sharing sessions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Information sessions on proposals for the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme are being held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. These are in addition to the Ministry of Health presentations as part of the Masterclasses in Medical Cannabis, which are being facilitated by Helius Therapeutics for healthcare professionals.

The sessions will be held on the following dates:

  • Auckland: Monday 22 July and Tuesday 23 July

  • Christchurch: Tuesday 30 July

  • Wellington: Thursday 1 August

Separate sessions will be held to reflect the interests of industry, medical practitioners and consumers. These sessions will take the form of a presentation by the Ministry of Health followed by questions and answers. The Ministry have said they will video the early sessions and share them online for those who can’t attend in person.

Come and hear what the scheme might mean for you, ask your questions and hear from others in the sector to help inform your submission on the consultation document.
